Terry Heller has been a lifelong entrepreneur in various divergent industries including entertainment, real estate development and investment, and in the hospitality/restaurant industry.  Most recently, Mr. Heller conceptualized and opened Plan Check Kitchen + Bar which offers a unique dining experience.

Mr. Heller began his career directing acclaimed music videos for seminal artists like Sean P Diddy Combs, Jay-Z and India Arie. His work delivered hits to record labels that garnered MTV, BET, and Billboard Awards. His largest client, Universal Music Group, trusted him with their top acts (including Lil Wayne) to deliver eye-catching visuals that targeted young audiences. He also presided over a production company as executive producer that produced high end videos for Linkin Park, Rod Stewart and Nickelback.

Later he discovered a knack for discovering undervalued properties and started Heller Holdings LLC. Founded and directed by Mr. Heller, Heller Holdings has completed dozens of distinctive residential dwellings and procured numerous real estate holdings throughout Southern California. Most recently, Heller Holdings finished packaging a 76 room hotel project in the heart of Hollywood that will be designed by Philip Starck.  A second hotel project that will be managed by Heller’s recently formed hospitality group “Clever Hospitality” is slated to be finished in 2013.

The idea for Plan Check Kitchen + Bar emerged from Mr. Heller’s desire to create a fiercely local, timeless dining experience at the neighborhood level. Located adjacent to the Building and Safety Department, where hundreds of Architects, Developers, Designers and Engineers flock daily to get plans reviewed for permitting, Plan Check embodies the architectural and creative culture that surrounds it, effortlessly blending vintage architectural office elements with rich, industrial materials in a warm atmosphere. LA Weekly recently said that Plan Check is “designed for full flavor dynamism.”
